Top 10 Games To Play in the Summer Heat
Welcome to the top 10 games to play in the summer heat. It’s a hot, sunny, and occasionally sweaty list filled with engagement farming. This list is my pinnacle as a writer, and I will be sulking until winter comes. No, that’s not true. Once winter comes, I’ll be sulking even more because it’ll be cold! So, let’s combat that weariness and rank ten video games to play in the blinding heat.
10. Frostpunk

When the summer is getting to you, boot up Frostpunk to play an unforgivable city builder. It will make you forget all the red tape and bureaucracy that actually go into building a city. It’s in a frozen wasteland, too, so that’s encouraging.
9. Horizon Zero Dawn & Forbidden West

These two Horizon games feature lush, expansive deserts and sunny post-apocalyptic wastelands filled with robot dinosaurs – and luscious hair. The game is like a vacation for 70 dollars, not thousands!
8. Subnautica

If you like to feel terrified, you can dive to the bottom of an ocean and watch your oxygen levels in a game called Subnautica. Offering a beautiful blue landscape and definitely no violent fish; no, not at all. This game gets crazy.
7. Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour

Hit the virtual links in the most fun and casual golf game ever. Stuff like the PGA Tour games have their charm, but Toadstool Tour is so much fun, and there’s even Pikmin! I miss the old Bogey animations in the newer games…
6. A Short Hike

It’s a short… hike. What more could you want? A Short Hike is a lovely game and can act as a palette cleanser when you’re feeling bored with those huge AAA massive experiences. It’s only a few hours long, and A Short Hike offers a surprising amount of meat for your summer.
5. Stardew Valley

The ultimate farming sim. Stardew Valley is the epitome of sublime. Be warned, though, as this game can definitely rip the hours of your summer away with how much there is to do in it. I don’t want to discourage you, because Stardew Valley should be on everyone’s console library.
4. Powerwash Simulator

It’s not a job, but it is a job. Much like Stardew Valley, Powerwash Simulator is another form of feeling sublime. But maybe even better?? Stardew is still great, but there’s so much to do and it can feel a bit repetitive. Powerwash doesn’t do that. And the gameplay is just simple enough to feel relaxing as heck.
3. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild & Tears of the Kingdom

Venture through an expansive open-world and a gorgeous, fantasy world that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of a fantasy world. Play this one, buddy. They’re Zelda at its pinnacle, and a perfect match for the Dog Days of Summer.
2. Mario Kart World

Road trip! Mario Kart World has gone through a ton of tribulations, but I still think it’s amazing. This game is worth 80 dollars for its soundtrack alone.
1. Super Mario Sunshine

What else could it be? Sunshine literally takes place on an island. It hates you, it’s rushed, and annoying at times, but it’s the perfect summer game. “I’m a chuckster!” Those vibes, though…
Here’s hoping you enjoyed yet another lis article. Have I peaked? Will I ever achieve something better than a ranking of the top ten summer games of all time? I don’t know, stay tuned. And thanks for reading.
