Is ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs On the Switch 2, PS5, or Xbox?

ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs is one of the latest to switch on the relaxing vibe. Something that can be great if you want an escape, kind of like Animal Crossing. If you’re not familiar, players work in a repair shop in 2000’s Tokyo, repairing different devices. Some that may look like recognizable game consoles and even components for other tech. You clean, fix, and put back together many different items at your customer’s request. It’s something meant to put your mind at ease

Is ReStory On Consoles?

Unfortunately, ReStory is not on the Switch 2, PS5, or Xbox Series X/S. Instead, it’s currently only a PC exclusive you can play on Steam. For a game like this, it’s not surprising to see it being on PC right away rather than all platforms. Some games in the past, such as Peak, have been developed with PC in mind first. That way, the development and any work that needs to be done to the game is all focused on the one version. It helps to save the workload for the studio and allows them to dedicate their time and effort. Rather than having to worry about being stretched thin across the game and its ports at the same time.

While the game has many instances that show the convenience of PC, it could easily accommodate consoles. Another game with a similar type of feeling is both House Flipper 1 & 2. It’s not fully clear as to why the game is only on PC’s for its launch currently. However, this doesn’t necessarily rule out a console release in the future.

Could ReStory Come to Switch 2 & Other Consoles?

It’s highly possible that ReStory could make its way to consoles in the future. The main indication for this is that many other games that tinyBuild publishes do release on consoles. Some examples of this are the Hello Neighbor series and Kill It With Fire. In fact, even SAND: Raiders of Sophie is coming to consoles after it gets its updates and a full release. We see signs of this already with being able to wishlist the game on digital storefronts, like the PlayStation Store.

It’s a letdown that many players can’t experience ReStory on consoles yet. However, with the fun that the game brings, as well as the serenity, it’s going to be worth the wait. Plus, with many other games out there that allow players to enjoy the relaxing side of things, time will pass by before you know it.
