Magicave Announces AI-Narrated Roguelike Beneath The Six
Magicave Studios have unveiled Beneath The Six, an exciting single and multiplayer turn-based roguelike game coming to PC and Mac platforms in 2024.
Beneath The Six is an immersive digital dice RPG which combines exploration and discovery with character progression, magic and combat. Players use beautiful collectible digital dice to craft unique characters whose traits reflect those of each die; wizard dice will have strong magical abilities while warrior dice could add weapon skills and strength into the mix.
Magicave and ElevenLabs, leaders in generative voice technologies, have joined forces to create an AI narrator for Magicave games using actor Tom Canton – best known for playing Filavandrel of The Witcher on Netflix’s popular television show.
Beneath The Six uses cutting-edge procedural dungeon and character generation, coupled with Canton’s AI narration, to generate a brand new world each day and allow players to explore, curate and challenge one another in unique universes created just for them. ElevenLabs CEO Mati Staniszewski commented that their collaboration with Magicave and Tom Canton on Beneath The Six demonstrated how AI technology could open up exciting game experiences never seen or heard before by users.

“But you can’t explore them without the support of the creatives that make the work possible in the first place. We’ve read stories of actors being forced to sign agreements assigning their AI voice IP to game and tech companies – robbing them of future opportunities and literally taking their voice away. We want to build the future, but we also want a company that aligns with our values, so we’ve come up with a new business model we feel works for everyone.”
ElevenLabs and Magicave both take seriously their commitment to protecting voice actors’ rights. Magicave has granted Tom Canton ownership of its AI voice for use in game, licensing it from him for use elsewhere as desired – including other media such as games, voiceovers, animations or movies.
Beneath the Six is Magicave’s inaugural offering from their digital hobby franchise dNo. Inspired by beloved pastimes like Warhammer or Dungeons & Dragons, dNo is built around stunning collectible digital dice, characters and worlds reminiscent of Warhammer or Dungeons & Dragons.
Discord channel users will have early access to Beneath The Six throughout its development process. Public testing will launch later this year.
